We are ready to crank up the giving, starting tonight at 7:00 p.m., and we want to invite you to join us for Amplify Austin! If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s time you know what it’s all about!
Amplify Austin is a 24-hour period of online giving in Austin, Texas, with the goal of raising $1 Million for more than 300 registered charities. As you may have guessed, Ronald McDonald House Austin is one of the charities, and our goal is for at least 100 people to go online and donate $25 or more to help families facing pediatric medical crisis in Austin.
Last year we served more than 1,700 families in Austin. We provided them a home away from home near the hospital so they could be together during frightening days of hospitals, doctors and seeing their child lying in a hospital bed, hoping for the best. This is 400 more families than we served the year before. It’s easy to see that with more families we need more donors and we need people who are already donating to donate more. Your gift of $25 or more will help children heal.
Here’s your chance to make history. You can be a part of this million dollar day in Austin – no matter where you live!!
When you donate – beginning at 7 pm tonight, Monday, March 4, and before 7 pm tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 5 – you can know that you are indeed making a difference for families. Easy enough – and so rewarding!!
If you’d like a bit more of a challenge, please join us in setting your alarm for 3 am tonight (so that’s actually Tuesday morning, March 5) and donate during the 3-3:59 am window in order to help us win a $1,000 prize for most donations or most money raised in a one-hour period!!
I had fun doing an Amplify Austin interview yesterday at the Ronald McDonald House with Angie from KXAN News. Click the image below to watch it. And then, go online tonight and donate!!
Are you in??
