Paying it forward

By Jan Gunter

Childhood illness and injury do not take a holiday, and neither do our volunteers! When children are in the hospital on holidays, families stay with us, and our volunteers show up faithfully to cook lunch and dinner every day.

Sometimes families who have benefited from our services come back to volunteer, and so it is with the Nett family: Keith, Angie and Josiah. This is the second year in a row they have cooked Christmas dinner for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Here are a few photos of their fun and festive day of giving back.

‘Paying it Forward’ … an excellent title that so embodies the sincere gratitude of these appreciative families. Thanks for all that all of you do!
