So many times we hear that when life throws you lemons you should try to make lemonade. I’m always amazed at the good that can come from this kind of positive thinking – personally and professionally. At the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room, we see families every day who are courageously facing their child’s illness and injury while trying to maintain their balance as a family – desperately trying to make lemonade out of lemons. This weekend there will be scores of children and families around the Austin area who will be participating in the annual Lemonade Day fundraiser, a very special initiative for local Austin charities.
Thank you in advance for supporting kids like Clark Simpler (click his name to see a video of his first donation) who will be setting up his third annual Lemonade Stand for RMHC this weekend. You may see children around town working hard at their stands to make a difference in the lives of others in the community. I guarantee that through your purchase you will help propel these kids to success in their entrepreneurial and charitable efforts for organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House – and you’ll have some nice cool lemonade as a token of their appreciation. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
